THE BRIEF
This is, quite simply, “Physiotherapy: what is this crucial profession and what is its role within the web of healthcare professions?”
People find it hard to pin down physio – how often has even a doctor spoken of it in terms of “massage”?!
The aim is to show the flavour of the profession and what it’s capable of.
We'd hand it out to stakeholders, from government health departments and hospital managers to GPs, and use the Annual Review to generate understanding by sending it out to health media and others, along with a press release, in the run-up to the Congress.

Physiotherapy is about movement, which refers to exercise, as well as limb mobility. I chose to isolate human limbs, showing a range of motion. The graphics are filled with a watercolor-type texture, and the images are used in a repeat pattern for the front and back cover treatment.

It was important to show a distinction between the physio case studies, the Patient's Stories, and the rest of the content.

Large images were used where possible to celebrate the outcome of physio treatments.
