HQ Pony Magazine

I was part of the team who conceptualised HQPony magazine in 2009. It was the sister title to Panorama Publication's Horse Quarterly. Having 20+ years equestrian experience meant that I was able to contribute to editorial, as well as design in the role of assistant editor/designer. As part of the editorial team I created content, wrote articles and edited reader submissions. I was also responsible for the layout and design. I eventually moved into the role as editor and was responsible for running the mag, overseeing traffic, production as well as doing the layout and design of this monthly title (totally mad, I know).

The intention of HQPony mag was to convey an aspirational feel for younger riders. This young rider and her horse were chosen as cover models.
I did the photo shoot, retouched the image in Photoshop and laid out the cover in InDesign.
